Lung Cancer Screening

Screening is looking for cancer before symptoms develop. Screening can therefore help discover cancer at an early stage, when it may be more amenable to treatment and cure.

Although lung cancer screening has been approved for 'at-risk' patients in the USA, lung cancer screening is not currently available for NHS patients. However, self-funded private lung cancer risk assessment & screening is available in the UK and can be extremely beneficial in asymptomatic patients judged to be 'at-risk'.

Lung cancer typically presents with symptoms only after the disease has spread, making cure unlikely. However, if caught early, lung cancer can be successfully treated and often cured. If you are interested in a private consultation with Dr Creer to discuss lung cancer risk & screening please contact lungcancerscreening.co.uk .
